Foundations First: Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis + Structured Assessment

Modern minimalist office desk setup

Phase 1 of a structured two-phase stabilisation pathway (Investigate & Initiate)

A comprehensive assessment

If your sleep is broken, your energy unpredictable, or your weight harder to manage than it used to be, the first step is clarity.

Foundations First is a comprehensive assessment and orientation phase designed for midlife women with overlapping or persistent patterns that don’t resolve with isolated approaches.

Before we attempt to fix anything, we need to understand what your body is compensating for.
This phase provides clarity, priorities, and sequencing before treatment decisions are made.

Why starting with foundations matters

When symptoms are layered or persistent, starting treatment without a clear map often leads to trial-and-error care.

Foundations First answers the most important questions upfront:

  • Which systems are under the most strain?
  • How are sleep, stress hormones and metabolic regulation interacting?
  • What needs stabilising first — and what should wait?

This phase prioritises sequencing and restraint, rather than rushing into protocols.

Who Foundations First is for?

Foundations First may be suitable if:

  • Your sleep and energy feel inconsistent or increasingly reactive
  • Your weight or appetite regulation has shifted despite consistent habits
  • Symptoms overlap across more than one system (gut, immune, metabolic, nervous system)
  • Standard tests have been “normal,” but you still don’t feel well
  • You want a clear plan and priorities before committing to longer-term care

It may not be the best fit if you’re looking for a quick fix, a one-off supplement suggestion, or symptom-only treatment without broader context.

What’s included in Foundations First

Foundations First is a structured assessment process and includes:

Comprehensive initial consultation

A 60-75 minute consultation exploring your health history, symptom patterns, stress load, lifestyle factors, and system interactions.

Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis (FBCA)

A detailed functional interpretation of blood work assessing metabolic, inflammatory, and regulatory patterns.
A list of recommended blood tests will be provided. If recent blood tests are available (less than six months old), these may be used. If not, a comprehensive panel can be arranged.

Systems-level case mapping

Integration of clinical history and data to identify priority systems and sequencing considerations.

Report of findings consultation

A 30-45 minute follow-up to explain findings clearly and outline what they mean for your care.

Personalised stabilisation roadmap

You’ll receive a structured summary outlining:

  • Key system patterns
  • Immediate stabilisation priorities
  • What not to focus on yet
  • Likely next phases of care

What happens next

Foundations First is Phase 1 of The Resilience Method.

Most clients then continue into Phase 2 — a structured 12-week consolidation phase — to stabilise regulation and make changes hold over time.

If you’re seeking clarity and direction only, Foundations First can also stand alone as an assessment phase before deciding on the next step.
