When something has shifted in your body and the standard answers haven’t been enough.

I’m Tania Lewis — registered nurse and naturopath. This page covers what I offer, how I work, and whether this is the right fit for you.

Structured care, not open-ended check-ins

Is this the right fit?

  • Your weight, sleep, or energy have shifted and haven’t responded to what you’ve already tried
  • You’ve been told your results are normal but still don’t feel right
  • You want a thorough clinical assessment — not a generic protocol
  • You’re navigating perimenopause or post-menopause and want someone who works in this space regularly
  • You have a recent diagnosis and want to understand what it means for your body beyond a 12-minute appointment
  • You want to understand the reasoning behind every recommendation, not just be handed a supplement list

It’s probably not the right fit if you’re looking for a quick fix, a single-session solution, or validation of a protocol you’ve already decided on. Structured, evidence-informed care takes time – and it works best when you’re ready to engage with the process.

Consultations

60-75 minutes

Initial Clinical Assessment

This is where we start. Your initial consultation covers your full symptom history, timeline, diet, lifestyle, sleep, stress, and any existing pathology. I want the whole picture – not just the result that flagged, or the symptom that’s loudest right now.

By the end of the appointment, I have enough clinical context to build a treatment plan that actually fits your presentation. That plan arrives in writing, personalised to your history and your goals.

The Initial Clinical Assessment is the right place to start if you’re new to the practice, returning after a significant gap, or dealing with a new or complex presentation.

Follow-up Consultation

Follow-up appointments are structured and intentional. We review what’s shifted since your last appointment, assess your progress against the plan, and adjust accordingly. These aren’t casual check-ins – they’re a continuation of the clinical work.

How frequently you need follow-up depends on your presentation and where you are in the process. That’s something we determine together based on your clinical picture, not a default schedule.

Clarity Call

A short phone conversation for anyone who’d like to understand the approach before booking a full consultation. No clinical advice is given – this is simply an opportunity to ask questions and assess whether Simply Naturopathics is the right fit for you. I’ll call you at your scheduled time.

Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis

Standard pathology reference ranges are designed to identify disease. Functional Blood Chemistry Analysis uses narrower, evidence-informed optimal ranges to identify patterns that sit outside what’s ideal – before they become a clinical problem.

If you have existing blood results, I can work with those. If you’d like a more comprehensive picture before your first appointment, I can guide you through what to request from your GP or via private pathology.

FBCA is optional but clinically useful, particularly for presentations involving fatigue, weight resistance, thyroid symptoms, blood sugar regulation, or metabolic health.

Where clinically indicated

Specialist Functional Testing

Where clinically indicated, I can arrange or interpret specialist testing beyond standard pathology. These are directed by your clinical assessment – not offered as a default.

Testing options include:

Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) via Vively – for blood sugar patterns, metabolic flexibility, and insulin response
Microbiome analysis via Microba – for gut health, diversity, and functional assessment
Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) via Interclinical Laboratories – for mineral status, heavy metal load, and adrenal patterns

If specialist testing is relevant to your presentation, I’ll explain why and what we’d expect to learn from it before recommending it.

What I work with

I see a broad range of presentations. These clinical areas reflect the conditions I work with most commonly – but if something isn’t listed and you’re wondering whether I can help, a Clarity Call is the simplest way to find out.

Hormonal and metabolic health

Perimenopause and post-menopause, thyroid function, blood sugar regulation, insulin resistance, weight management, metabolic syndrome, and the downstream effects of hormonal shifts on sleep, mood, and cognition. This is the area I see most frequently, and where my dual clinical background is particularly relevant.

Energy and sleep

Persistent fatigue, wired-but-tired patterns, early waking, disrupted sleep architecture, adrenal load, and the relationship between cortisol, oestrogen, and nervous system regulation. If you’re exhausted and your results say normal, this is worth looking at properly.

Digestive health

Gut function, bloating, diarrhoea, constipation, reflux, post-antibiotic recovery, and microbiome support. Digestive health sits underneath almost everything else — it affects nutrient absorption, immune function, hormone clearance, and mood. It rarely exists in isolation.

Thyroid health

Subclinical thyroid dysfunction, elevated antibodies (Hashimoto’s, Graves), fatigue and weight changes that don’t fit the standard thyroid picture, and support alongside existing medical management. Thyroid function intersects with almost every other body system — it’s rarely a standalone issue.

Skin and immune health

Acne, eczema, hives, chronic skin conditions, and immune resilience. Skin presentations are almost always systemic — gut integrity, immune dysregulation, and stress physiology all play a role. Addressing the surface without the underlying pattern rarely holds.

Fertility and reproductive health

Preconception support, cycle irregularity, and reproductive health for women considering pregnancy. This includes nutritional preparation, hormonal pattern assessment, and support for both partners where relevant.

Men’s health

General health assessment, weight management, energy, and metabolic health. The clinical model is the same — thorough history, structured plan, evidence-informed care.

I also see children and young people on a case-by-case basis.

If you’re a parent seeking support for a child and wondering whether I’m the right fit, a Clarity Call is a good place to start.
